Does maga doses of iron
cause you teeth to turn dark?
Answer: I don't know, but it will lead to you to die. Iron is lethal in doses above the recommended dose. It can and will grow in the organs (heart, liver, etc...) and joints (causes arthritis-like pain) and will end in cirrhosis of the liver, then liver cancer, if left untreated. I know because my husband and two sons hold a condition called hemochromatosis (sp?) in which their bodies do not metabolize iron close to a normal person, and it merely accumulates in the organs and joint. My husband had to give one pint of blood per week for a year to gain his iron down to normal. Now he has to do it a few times per year. I don't deduce his teeth turned dark, before he be treated, but he had a bridge in front. My youngest have way high iron at age four, and his teeth be white and pretty like most kids.
