Ear cartilage piercing, shampoo?
so i got my ear cartilage pierced (top of the ear) 2 days ago and the care instruction sheet said to save shampoo, hair spray, cosmetics, perfume and other stuff like that away from not long pierced ears. im getting a haircut today with a curls wash.
-will the shampooing affect my piercing?-
thanks
Answer: It shouldn't be a problem if you inform the person shampooing your hair to be cautious of it. Just tell them that you got your ears pierced and requirement to keep soaps and stuff out of the piercing. I'm sure it's not the first time the stylist has have a client with newly pierced ears, so I'm sure he or she will recognize.
To be extra safe, you should wash the piercing after next to whatever the instruction sheet recommends to rinse it with. You can buy special solutions for washing piercings or purely use a little rubbing alcohol. This will decrease the probability that any shampoo or soap that might have gotten into the piercing will cause an infection or irritate your skin..
Warn your hairdresser that you hold a new piercing so they can be careful not to hit it (painful!!).
She will probably do her best to avoid it.
When you get hold of home after the cut wash off the piercing as soon as you can to give somebody a lift care of any residual. .
No it wont affect it it will just hurt or sting
