I know a girl who takes like, 25 pills a year and snorts a bunch too for her "back pain". These aren't advils either, it's stuff lilke oxycodone and methodone, some considerate of medical heroin stuff, crazy stuff. Is it normal for people next to that to take THIS many agony pills? I don't think so but I'm not sure.

I have equal disease and I was on Methadone for it for about 6 months. Now I am on Lyrica and it is helping a great deal. Although I will probably have to go wager on on Methadone as I have had 3 surgeries contained by the past 7 months and am very shaky and pretty much house bound other than physical therapy.

I guess it depends on the dosage of the medication that she is taking and if they are prescribed for her.

I have never heard of snorting misery medications and would be very leery of it as it could irritate and sprain the inner lining of the nose of late like cocaine does.

I have no stomach and I WON'T snort anguish meds. I will crush them and put them in pudding or even let them dissolve underneath my tongue because I don't get the relief I should have no stomach.

It is hard to determine if she is taking too many pills. It really depends on the dosage and resembling I said what she is prescribed. There are instances where people near chronic pain do take lofty dosages of Oxycontin or Methadone for pain relief and within order to function. However usually they are closely monitored (at least I was) to put together sure that I wasn't abusing them.

Well I normally would not answer this but..What is one people 10mg's a day of Oxycodone is another person 400mg's a daytime. You cannot equate it. It is all relative. If her tolerence is that much, that is what it is.

I be on 200mg's of Methadone. Everyone said, "oh what a large amount." Not a large amount if to be precise what your use to taking.

yes..i have it and it's wicked. However I've never hear of snorting something for it. Your friend should be very careful or she will be inert. I don't want to come across uncaring because I know the extreme pain this disease cause. I do take medications and I go through hell to find ones that would help me...alot of doctors in the begining didn't want to address the problem. I'd close to to warn everyone abuot a muscle relaxer called SOMA..too several of these and you'll end up in the ER or the morgue. As it man a muscle relaxer many years ago I thought with "no narcotic" contained by it it woldn't hurt me. NOT!! I took two extra that day to try and get out of the aching and care for my children and I ended up surrounded by ICU. Never again, I no longer take that and I'm very thrifty to take my meds as exact as possible. I do sometimes have to call upon my doc and let him know I'm "REALLY bad.similar to 10+ pain level and he'll allow me to embezzle an extra pill or something. If your friends pain is this bad own her go to her local ER. They sometimes will help you if they know you're not of late scamming them for drugs and give you a shot or something. I havent had to shift to the hospital for this in almost 8 months and that's a Godsend...because they always do sort of look at you like your really okay. See, the biggest problem I can see from this ilness is most of us LOOK and APPEAR to be fine.pretty, dressed alright etc..therefore they dont realize on the INSIDE you're just about to run infront of a bus at times thinking it would be better to just get it overwith and not hold to live and deal with CONSTANT misery and discomfort. Like I said, try and talk to your friend...express you care for her and how you'd resembling to try and help her get a better path of pain relief. Massage help, heat helps, support help. I'm not faulting your friend she's trying to self medicate to deal next to the pain I'm guessing...but she's walking on serious thin rime...
she will die...you have to get that through to her somehow.
