the metal be a splint and i think i know exactly what you're taling about. did she use the splint and the gauze to net a gauze only bandage on your finger? she would own put on the metal splint and then covered it with the gauze and pulled up the splint and sinned it around and put it vertebrae on to create a bandage that covered most of your finger... sound more or less right?
