Gallbladder--almost constant niggle?
I used to have periodic attacks that went away. In the later week I have been in constant anguish under my ribs, around my side, and up my back.
My problem is that my husband just started a spanking new job after a long period of unemployment that sucked us dry financially and insurance will not start until April 1st. I can't in recent times "call a doctor" because I live in anew city and will have a different HMO.
So anybody that knows anything about gallbladders, is there any solid harm in sucking up the pain and waiting for 6 weeks?
I am not jaundiced nor do I own a fever. Just pain and occasional vomiting bile in the mornings.
Thank you for any kind answers.
Answers: Hi, I do feel for you, as I am also suffering at the moment, due to have my gall bladder out the come to an end of May 09. I had my first gall bladder attack on the 18th Dec 08 and have be admitted into hospital 5 times since with severe attacks! Absolute nightmare...
Anyway, here are some things that have help me out, must be doing something right as the time between attacks seems to be getting longer..
1) 100% pure apple juice , not from concentrate
2) Peppermint tea - especially drink after every meal
3) Eat little & habitually
4) Goes without saying no fried food!
5) Get walking! I've started walking a fair bit and I presume it has helped.
I wish you powerfully, gall bladder pain is the worst pain I hold ever had in my life.
Take watchfulness.

If you must wait until April 1 to seek treatment, than at least address it through your diet. Eat foods that are more bland (less fatty) that you know won't hand over you more pain. Cut back on the alcohol as much as possible, as a heavy drinker you probably can't travel cold turkey, but decrease the amount you drink as best as you can tolerate. If you get a severe attack, or as previous readers wrote, are jaundiced, please wish emergency aid. It's worth it even if you think you can't afford it. Source(s): years of pain...Gallbladder finally removed.
