I am having a leep procedure done tomorrow morning, and I am going to have nonspecific anesthesia. Does that mean they are going to put a tube down my throat and everything or just make available me an IV and i go to sleep? Im pretty much more scared of the anesthesia than I am the procedure :(

Sometimes we use a tube, sometimes we use an LMA (a camouflage that sits in the back of your throat), and occasionally, freshly a mask held on your face. LEEPs can also be done beneath spinal anesthesia. With a spinal, you can have sedation if you want, so you don't have to support what's goig on.

With general anesthesia, airway management depends on a few things, including the anatomy of the patient, his/her other medical issues, and the needs of the surgeon.

If you catch a tube, you'll be asleep when it goes in. Unless you own reflux (stomach acid) or are heavy, you will likely receive the LMA. Those work great for this procedure.

Since this is a relatively quick procedure, they will probably use IV and inhaled anesthetic.

I had a D&C done a few weeks pay for and that is what they used on me. The whole article took about a half an hour and I woke up in need any difficulty, no sore throat, so they didn't use a tube (that I know of).

I work at a hospital, and that is were I progress for stuff. I know the anesthetist, Annie, and she says "I'm going to give you the I-don't-care-juice" and she be right - I didn't care. Out like a bedside light. :)

I They put a tube within my throat for it and when i woke up i felt like i couldn't breathe because i be trying to breathe on my own again. I was fine though in a couple minutes. I hope adjectives goes well for you. I hurt for the first year but after that i didn't feel it anymore and they actually have to cut more than they thought when they got in in attendance for mine.
