Answer:    You need to stir to a pain clinic. They can give you alot more option than a spine specialist can. I've had nerve blocks (same thing) and they didn't relieve me at all and they are EXPENSIVE! ($4,000 each!). So; please receive a price before you get them and gain into a pain clinic. Life is too precious to spend it in affliction!!.
Yes they can help, but not always and not for everybody. I hold had several, cervical and lumbar regions for herniated discs. The ESI that you are talking just about is the same procedure as with a epidural that us women bring before giving birth, but with a impressively much different medicine. They are both usually done by an Anesthesiologist.

The main purpose of the ESI when it comes to affliction is as an deep internal anti-inflammatory directly over or within the injured spinal nouns.

Some people do say that they are impressively dangerous because the medicine to be exact used is not and was not intended for this use...but it works...and we all know of medicine that were created for one purpose but is found to work wonderful for something else.

Have you been to a distress management center? A pm center has several doctors of different medical background assembled in one building or office beside the sole purpose of pain management.

My father have these injections in his spine for a slipped disk that he could not get fixed right away and he say that they really help with the cramp. I think that they could help you within day to day happenings. As for the doctor, don't ever go back to that one because if they do not keeping to answer a question then how can they support about your health? I go to a pain management center and have it done. I drove myself out of there after it was over too. It took sometime for it to see in (a few days). I was really panicky that it did not help me. A matter certainty, the pain was worse. I reflect about 4 days later or so it finally kicked contained by and then, I felt great. I have a friend whose mom tried it and it did not work for her. She had surgery. I'm young and did not want to step down that road yet. I just kept up self physical and lost weight. Now I don't need injections or meds (keeping my fingers crossed near my herniated discs). Good Luck!.
my husband has to have 9 epidural shots surrounded by his neck and back.he go this friday.he had them before within his leg and it worked.it takes the pain away for a length of time.it starts working about 3-4 days after the shot was given.if that don't work afterwards he will need back surgery,it seem he'll be heading down that road, because this pain has be so long.hes finally at that point to where he can't stand the pain any longer. I've never have epidural, but as a helpful tip, I think if you post this sound out in the pregnancy or newborn section as economically, you'll get more answers (from women who've had them). They read out it usually takes like 20 minutes to see in though and about 3-6 hours to start wearing stale, but you can't feel anything below the injection site-- so no walking..
My mom injured part of her spine and tried epidural injections and physical psychoanalysis. I don't know how long she had them after her injury, but the pain completed up coming back worse than ever, so she eventually had surgery and after that adjectives the pain was gone.
hope i help
