Why are my legs other swollen? Please assistance!?
Both my legs are always swollen. It swells in the calf, ankle, and the top of the foot. I went to the doctor, i do not enjoy a blood clot or a problem with my heart. The doctor said they aren't holding water neither. They have no clue what it could be. But i don't want to hand over up. So I am planning on going to a vascular doctor. I am 50. This has been going on for years. They swell very outstandingly till the point that I get embarrassed. Its not that i am putting to much pressure on them by walking or exercise neither. They throb when they are swollen. I am not extremely overweight so that isn't it neither. Does anyone know what it could be? I am desperate. Thanks for the answers before paw. I hope you can help me.

Chronic leg swelling is frequently due to 'venous insuffiency'...ie, not a blood clot problem with the veins but rather a problem beside the function of the valves in the veins of the legs. Typically nation notice that their swelling gets worse as the day progresses,or after they spend alot of time on their legs. If you own varicose veins that very likely could be your problem. Unfortunately, heaps places dont automatically check for this when you get your venous ultrasound for blood clots (lot more work than just ruling out a blood clot).Thin people carry this too. Women more often than men.
Google Venous insuffiency or venous reflux and see how it sounds to you. Something worth discussing with your doc at least. Source(s): be a vascular ultrasund tech for >20years working with vascular surgeons
Swelling also occur when the blood is not circulating properly. This also happens when one tends to keep legs lifeless all the time. I would suggest to keep legs on a chair when sitting. Get massage done on your legs to circulate blood Source(s): http://www.skinsheen.com/index.aspx
you have fluid buildup. [: Source(s): my mom has that and she is on meds for it.
