What can I do to oblige my throbbing toe?
I've had to wear these old shoes for a couple days and they're too small for me and really tight in the toe nouns. The toenail on my little toe is light purple and the skin around it is red, but my big toe's skin is reddish too and it's throbbing tremendously along with sharp pains. My toes look approaching they're still crunched together when I take the shoes off. It's killing me. Should I drop by a doctor? And is there anything I can do about the throbbing and sharp pains for now? Please back =(
(I'm going to wear different shoes tomorrow, but I don't know what to do about the pain right now)

Thats just from your toe constantly hitting your shoe.
All you can do is take some Advil or something and shift to bed.
I'm dealing with two throbbing big toes at the moment. I go on a 6 hour hike up a mountain last weekend, and had a great deal of pressure on my toes as I was climbing down. I called the podiatrist (I live 2 hrs away) since the pain wasn't going away, and they said my toe nail may have separated from the skin. They have me coming in on Monday, so they can look at them contained by person. They said they'll probably have to drill a hole in them, as that will relieve the pressure build up underneath the fastener (and stop the pain). As well, if the nail was pulled from the skin beneath, they may own to remove the nail (so a new one can properly grow back). Doesn't sound pretty, but they said if the fastener is damaged, and not removed, then a new staple will not properly grow back.
Anyway, I would recommend calling a doctor (a podiatrist if you have one). For the time being, soak your foot within 2 quarts luke warm water mixed with 2 tablespoons of white vinegar. This is what the nurse told me to do twice a daytime for 15-20 minutes until I come in on Monday. Source(s): Personal experience and podiatrist nurse.
