My ear has been i guess you could say plugged up, and today, it really started to hurt, approaching there could be pressure. I have never had an ear infection up to that time, and I am wondering could this be one?

maybe,dont pilfer cold
If you have yawned and that didn't help ease the pressure astern your eardrum, then yes, you could have an ear infection in your INNER ear. If you start running a disorientation that is a definite symptom.
You could try a warm saline water gargle to try to reduce any swelling in the little tube that connects your throat to your inner ear so any excess fluid can drain out that road.
You could try an OTC allergy pill/decongestant that might help reduce the pressure inside.
You probably had ear infections as an infant, but we don't usually remember things approaching that as we mature. The pain will start out as a dull ache and progress to sharp stabs. Your doctor can prescribe an antibiotic.
Stand surrounded by the shower and let some of that warm water spray into your ear waterway to kind of flush it out IF you think it is just pressure on the outer side of your eardrum. Otherwise, don't mess next to it until you see the doctor. Source(s): many babies with them.
It could be an abscess in the ear. Use Hepar Sulph lower potencies for suppurating and higher potency of 30 or 200 for abortng the abscess. If infection use Chamomilla 30 three doses. Medicines should be taken in consultation next to a homeopathic doctor.
ok i get swimmers ear a lot! try pulling the bottom of your ear rather. if it hurts you have swimmers ear. tell your doctor and they will give you drops. but pay attention because i didn't take care of my swimmers ear. when i was swimming i get kicked (in the ear) and since i didn't take the drops when i needed them it caused me get a hole surrounded by my eardrum! so make sure you take the drops so it can heel! Source(s): ruptured eardrum. and swimmers ear every summer.
Put in a few drops of 3% peroxide and tolerate it try to clean out any wax build up.
Do not use a cotton swab in your ear.
I did that and ended up plugging my ear up and have the Dr. clean it out.
They use a water squirt-er in your ear, and it feel like water is coming out your eyes , nose and its not enormously comfortable.
Peroxide or ear wax cleaner from the store ( same thing) will melt some of the wax so you can hear better.
