RATTLESNAKE BITE!!?
2 days ago, my friend got bitten by a rattlesnake on the hand. They think it be a babysnake. Now he is in the hospital where the care isnt just right. They tell him to keep it elivated, but they put his arm in a creamy splint to where he cant even raise his arm. They want to amputate half of his not here pointer finger off. Of course we are going to get a second opinion formerly i let them do this, but i have a few questions...
1) Is nearby a special kind of doctor that we should see?
2) Are there any treatments that we could try (weve heard soaking contained by peroxide helps) any thing like that would be terrific.
We are so scared that they mite own to amputate.
Please help. (leave any website links you think might help)

well there is a doctor but i forgot the name of him. He works near snake bites. maybe you could look him up online just go to google or bing and type within snakebite doctor or whatever. I hope they don't amputate it
I think you should discuss this next to your parents first;) I don't think doctors will really take advice from 14year olds (Sorry but several years at medical arts school outweighs basic education in biology) enjoy a look at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rattle_snak… for more info. Probably best to lose a finger than the whole arm. I think, that when the tissue is totally destroyed, there is little resort but to amputate or risk Septicemia.
