Advice for my Shin Splint troubles.....=(?
Ive got these shin splints (both legs), that have been nearby for ages now, its starting to annoy me an its definitely getting more painful when i run, my right knees has also started playing up.
When i went to the physiotherapist, he just give me ultrasound every time and taught me some stretches that i use after exercising. The ultrasound wasn't any help (i saw him for weeks), and i dont want to go support to him, hes useless and takes time away from work.
I have to run and kept fit as part of my employment (Army), i went for a 5 mile run monday and it got painful. So does anyone know any remedy's that i can try so i can save running and avoid going back to the physio?!
Thanks alot!

You are in the army....bet the boots you wear are not helping! Any shoe or boot that is too flat will make happen shinsplints! Or perhaps your arch in your foot is too flat? If you have a karma you should see a podiatrist!
And just a note....running is really hard on the foot.....Im amazed you have not lost any toenails yet?!!
Good luck to you!
I work with a girl who runs...she have insoles with proper arches made for her feet.no more shin splints but 3 toenails gone....yuk...not painful but yuk
its simply from training to much, stipulation rest, when you get in better shape they won't come back. Source(s): no trickery pill dude
