Tramadol for Pain Relief? "High from it?

I have taken tramadol quite a few times over the past 6 months, and I other get this "high" from it. I know I am high because I used to smoke weed a year ago, which I stopped. I feel almost invicable on it, and intensely hyper. The pain in my legs doesn't bother me either.
So my question are:
Why am I getting "high" off a non narc?
Is Tramadol effective after awhile?
What clasification is tramadol?

Pretty much any ffed back you can donate me about it might help.
Thanks.

When tramadol (Ultram) first hit the market, it's through selling point was that it was a non-narcotic analgesic, but it treated pain beside a narcotic-like efficiency. It hits different receptors in the brain than opiates do, so it even shows up clean on a urine theory test. It sounds wonderful, right? Such a great drug could help so many people beside no danger. Doctors prescribed it for everything. The problem started coming to the surface when people began getting addicted to it. Now, medical inhabitants are calling it the non-narcotic, narcotic. It's every bit as addictive as oxy's and other opiates. People generally take more than prescribed, and that does get them illustrious. Besides high from the brain receptor thinking it's a narcotic there's an additional high from it's conduct as a selective serotonin neurepinephrine reuptake inhibitor (SSNRI), so it has antidepressant properties also.

Doctors are becoming aware, but all too slowly, and it's still being prescribed for associates in recovery who are trying to stay away from all narcotics and anything "buzzy" or craving forming. The reason you get high from it - you're usual . Source(s): 20+ years clean and sober
