Whats wrong beside my moms foot?
she has a bad pain within her heel and everytime she walks it hurts. She has to wear shoes everywhere because its less spasm for her. Does she have to have surgery? Please, does anyone know? Anything helps!! Thanks

There could be numerous things wrong. There could be a problem with the actual bone, muscle, or ligament. Without more information other than "there is a bad niggle in her heel" I really don't know how else to help. My advice is budge to a doctor. Try putting ice on it to help numb the pain. That may assist (a little).
well it could be a number of things more on the serious side it could be broken or fractured. the less serious side it could be as simple as she desires to rest and put her feet up so they could relax for a min. a foot cant heal if it don't rest and a simple twist could basis irritation further on if you don't rest it. As you get older you bottom of your foot starts to wear thin.so its easier to injure. put it up and detail her to see the doctor to get a possible xray to make sure their isn't any fractures.

I'm not a doctor but only just have the same problem. My pain is on the posterior of my heels and is called Achilles Tendinitis. PAINFUL! Can barely walk. But, physical treatment has helped tremendously without have to have surgery. That includes stretches and ultrasound on the heels along with ice and an anti inflammatory.
Pain on the bottom of the heels can be Plantar's Fascitis. There again, same treatment as Achilles Tendinitis and using heel pad (can buy at Walmart or anywhere) and certain stretches that can be learned at physical therapy help.
Have your mom see a doctor and start physical therapy. In the meantime, look those 2 conditions up and see if they match your mom's problem. Hope she feels better...I know how she feel.
