I really abhor needles?
ok so today i have to go get a booster hypodermic. Apparently you have to get it when you are around the ages of 14-16. Has anyone got it and does it hurt?I really really despise needles and im like super nervous if you could just share your experience it would give support to me alot thanks ;)

It's a prompt pinch and that is it. It's an important thing to do for your strength. Just tell the doctor or nurse that you don't like needles and to have him/her detail you when to look away so you don't even have to see the needle at all.
honestly, the pinch is so small and quick, you will be incredibly relieved and suprised when its over. i be afraid of the booster as well when i was a kid, and i felt a bit silly after i realized how fast and minimal the pain be. its very normal to be afraid of needles, but just explain to yourself "something is going to pinch me for an 8th of a second, its no big deal" and think of people who have have broken limbs, women giving birth, etc- in comparison its not so bad :) Source(s): med student
it hurts for like, ten seconds tops, and its not even that bleak of a pain. like, imagine someone pinches you briskly and then youve got that annoying "ow, someone just pinched me" kinda agony. thats it.
dont look at the needle and it will be over before you know it
I other ask the doctor to let me know when they are coming with the needle. I find that if I don't look at the plunger at all, it is much easier. Remeber not to look when they are giving you the shot. Hope that helps, I know how you feel.
