Physical psychotherapy abbreviation?
I have a evaluation paper from my physical therapist. I have arthoscopic surgery on my knee. from the revised plan she writes, patient to continue to use knees brace, if no better in 2 weeks call doctor. Pt. to cont. to work on HEP. I want to know what HEP means? I regard it's something with the patella so any answer what HEP is would help thanks

Wow, I've worked in the medical pen for 21 yrs now and I have never heard of that one. I looked it up on the internet for you and found this site. http://www.abbreviations.com/bs.asp?st=H… It has several definitions. However, my best guess would be HEP = Home Exercise Program. Hope I help.
Yes, HEP scheme home exercise program, "Pt" or "pt" refers to "patient" wheras "PT" refers to physical therapy or therapist
...keep working on what you've be taught and continue to wear the brace. If you are not getting better within two weeks, call the sugeon. Source(s): I am a physical therapist
Home exercise program.
Pt. to cont. to work on HEP means: patient to continue to work on Home Exercise Program.
So verbs doing whatever therapy exercises you were given.
