Should I see a doctor going on for a slightly numb moved out middle finger?
I am a music major that plays trombone (very often obviously) and this started last year, but when I get hold of done playing after a while my left middle finger feels different then the rest. It feel a bit numb, but not completely. I'd like to know possibilities of what it is and if I should see a doctor about it.

check your blood sugar.
It could be that the muscles are just strained after you play. However, it could also be irritation of the nerve causing numbness, i.e. a grip of carpal tunnel syndrome. See the referenced article from eMedicine for specifics on other types of symptoms that occur in CTS. If you think it fits your symptoms, see a doctor who will examine you and, if needed, proclaim tests to check for it or refer you to a specialist. The Mayo Clinic has a nice summary on CTS (link below). Source(s): http://emedicine.medscape.com/article/327330-overview

I was contained by band in high university (I didn't play trombone though) and if I remember correctly isn't there a ring that one of your fingers goes through to help stabilize the trombone? You could own some some resulting nerve damage from years of playing. Definitely see a doctor to make sure that you don't own carpal tunnel or something.
