Which is worse: Tonsillectomy or Giving Birth?

Please only answers from people who have had/done both. Also, include whether you did a unconscious birth or if you had help from medications and if so, what kind. Also, if you could give details on how you felt after each one, that would be great. Thanks so much!

My best friend's wife have both, and here's what she had to say about it. She be young when she had her tonsillectomy, and she said that it really didn't hurt too bad unless she have to swallow something. So in other words, it wasn't bad. Tonsillectomies are harder and more painful as a character gets older, so if one has to enjoy their tonsils taken out, it's better to do it at a young age if possible. During her pregnancy, she and my best friend were totally against have an epidural because of the side effects that she had read about, so she went out and did research going on for natural birth, relaxation techniques, and breathing exercises. Both my wife and I were within the delivery room with her and my best friend, and she did absolutely wonderful. She said that both the breathing exercises and relaxation technique helped her to deliver the baby with little dull pain, and she was up walking that night. The doctor had offered to put her on local anaesthetic, but she stated that she didn't need it. She went home the next daytime, and was back to her regular routine and she began working from home again (the employment she has began letting people work from home). She said that if she have to pick which one was worse, she'd go with the tonsillectomy, because she really didn't own any pain at all after giving birth.
