I also touch your pain, I had my best friend pass away this former spring from a drunk driver.
I can at least tell you what not to do, drugs. I started smoking a lot when he died, b/c that's what me and him did together-safely- and other had a good time. I felt close to it was something I could do to remember him. I spiraled out of control. Instead of dealing and coping with the grief I acted similar to he'd be alive when I used.
They're right there is nothing to bring them back, no business how much you loved them, cared for them, and want them back. It's just strong to deal with, I understand.
My best warning is try to make peace. I go to the top of a bike trail me and him rode on together all the time, and basically talk to him- a lot of times in tears. I vowed to never drink and put anyone at risk.
It'll be concrete to deal with, try working out or something active to tire yourself out. DO NOT drink or do drugs, it's an short occupancy solution to a long term problem, in this case forever.
I still haven't taken him out of my phone directory, and sometimes find myself trying to manual him or call him.
Best thing I can say is that your not the single one dealing with this. Understand it's a part of life. Understand you know a great person and got to be apart of their life, and they care for you just as much, and they miss you as much as you miss them. You'll see signs that they are still there for you, even though they are gone. It's something I never thought about, the other side, but in that are days when I see things that remind me of him, more than coincidence. Sometimes my phone rings and I think it's gonna be him, these things just surface.
I send my condolences, and best of luck.
Take care, lots of care. Source(s): Life
You're still grieving over the unfortunate loss of your friend. Go to a dormant place alone and talk to her. She will hear you. Resolve what you have with yourself. Sleep and peace will come.
I know how you feel, because i am going through the same thing, and i own had the same problem sleeping. I think you should scrutinize TV, work out something that will make you tired. Do something you enjoy. Even though she is gone, we can't bring the ones we love back. =/ If we could, i would repay a ton to do so. :) But just remember she is watching and she might be laughing at you for not sleeping. =) Take care.
