Should I trademark my coaches/trainer aware of my shin splints?

I'm pretty sure I have shin splints from the 4 mile run we had to do. It's the muscle-ish stuff right next to my actual shin bone? It hurts to run and hurts to touch. So I'm assuming they are shin splints. It's the outset of the soccer season, should I mention something to the trainer? The coaches? Oh and could the shin splints tear if I don't rest my legs?
Answers:
Yes you should mention it to your coaches and trainer. It's typical to get them when you have be running and running on them can make them worse. Some people say complete rest is needed but I presume it depends on how bad they are. When I get them I wrap my shin with a tensor and it help and I make sure I warm up really well formerly beginning any physical activity. Typically after a good thaw up they won't hurt during exercise but if they do then rest them for a few days. Ice them when you can to help with the torment and reduce how hard you exercise when you do. Ask your coaches and trainer as well, they might hold some more tips for you. Oh, avoid running on pavement even after they heal. Once you have had shin splints running on pavement is almost a sure fire opening to get them again.
