Does a toe pin go down of by itself?
I hit my toe nail and it is bloody and black and blue. I know it is going to fall off, but I be wondering does it fall off by itself or do you need to verbs it off when it is loose?
Answers:
I would leave it on, and it will fall off on it's on. I'm a rumba dancer, and I've lost many a toenail to pointe shoes. And maybe that's the reason I vote to leave it on, because standing on your toes, especially your big one, with no toenail tends to not perceive very good. I would at least bid your doctor and ask his advice.
It may slump off on its own. Some docs argue to leave the nail on and to tumble off on its own, sorta acting like a bandaid. Another school of thought is to be see by a doc to have the nail removed, simply due to the fact that in that may be a subungual laceration that can require suturing and or wound care to avoid an infection. If it is loose enough I would take it bad.
I would see a doctor, but it will fall off by itself but i would clip it down Source(s): ll
