Why are you stripped exposed & exposed when the EMT brings you to the hospital?
A few months ago I had the most horrific experience. We were in a impossible car accident in Canada where on earth I suffered a fractured left arm, dislocated pelvis, bruised ribs and a mild cuncussion. I don't remember the accident so much but I do remember waking up surrounded by the ER at the hospital with an oxygen mask on my face and have all my clothes cut away including my underwear and all my jewely removed. I remember hearing plentifully of talking and being touched all over. I could remember hunch that there was an IV in my arm and tubes inside my vagina and anus and be cold from still being completely naked on the table. In ICU I was at tiniest covered with a sheet but still naked underneath. My family come to see me during my recovery and I was humiliated that they could tell I be naked. Is this common Hospital practice to treat patients this way? I'm in a minute at home still recovering from the injuries and the hospital ordeal. Just thinking back to it is starting to make me cry :'-(

They do that to the most ugliest empire and very old to so its not just you
it is common, after an misfortune that have to see if you are injured anywhere, especially if you are unconscious. if they left your clothes on they might hold missed something and you could have died. i would much rather be naked and exposed to trained medical proffessionals who, believe me, are NOT looking at you sexually, they are trying to alleviate you, than risk them missing an important sign that could have saved my time.
economically since the two guys above me beat me to leaving the mean responses, i guess im stuck disappearing the normal one. its normal. i cant explain the tubes they stuck in you, but the touching adjectives over is examining for other injuries. im sure no one but professionals saw any private part of your body. but yea, i had surgery, and it sucks to know that i be in one of those gowns open from behind and while comatose, i was turned around and everything. you shouldnt worry about your kinfolk knowing you were naked under the sheet. they be more worried about your health than your lack of clothing. dont consent to it get to you. its good that you escaped a car wreck near a few injuries and a minor sense of humiliation, rather than ending up naked surrounded by the morgue. and your probly not even gonna see anyone who saw you in the ER, and if they saw you, their too busy to remember anyway, so your all clear. well, hope you alleviate up soon.

First it is thier way of making sure that you don't hold injuries any were else. clothes can get in the route. and they can also hold jerms that could get inside cuts and cause infections. It is very adjectives especially for someone who has been in a vehicle accident. Injuries could be any were. They do this not out of humuliation but for effiecency and affectivness at treating injuries.

That is standard procedure so that they can work on you lacking the obstruction of clothing. Moving clothing out of the way slows down the doctors ability to see weaken to your body, take x-rays, give you meds, IV's, etc. If you are in doomed to failure shape you want the doctors to be able to see and find anything that is wrong with you as speedily as they can because it could be the difference between life and death.
EMTs need to provide you beside proper care. Clothes mess that up. They make it hard, but for impossible. If they didn't take your clothes off, especially due to the location and severity of your injuries, you would probably be dead. you have to be exposed in directive for the doctors to see what was wrong with you, where you be injured.
Well, for the shirt, they can't try and stop your heart to start it again (those defibrillators where they travel "clear!") with any metal on- including any underwire in a bra, so just to be out of danger they take it off. It's not like they are trying to expose you, it's so they can hastily and effectively save you. I'd rather be indecent and alive, than dead surrounded by all my clothes.
Wow. It almost sounds resembling they were trying to assess your injuries in an effort to collect your life. What horrible, horrible perverted monsters.

It is incredibly common to not remember trauma.... or be hazy around it. I have experienced this.
The doctors and nurses needed to strip you completely in order to check everything. Of course is can quality demeaning but the whole flippin point is to make sure you live. Anything in the pelvic region holds the possibility of anyone a very big deal.
Yes if you were have visitors possibly a hospital gown might have been contained by order. I basically fell of a cliff in the military and I be looking like one big puffed up purple marshmellow man. When my family showed I had my nuts slack out and I was very drugged up.
But all contained by all I am sure that your family is happy to hold you alive and could care less about how you looked contained by the hospital. Focus more on that you will be fine now and that you were lucky enough to be somewhere where on earth you got that level of care. You are not surrounded by Mexico.
Once this is all in done you need to own a discussion with some family member and spawn sure they will make sure you are comfortable. You never know.

You were in what is considered a Trauma I. It's SOP when dealing beside a trauma. If you were concious then someone should have covered you up.
with the extent of you injuries they needed to see all of you to make sure they didn't miss anything. what if they have found the broken arm and just said "that's good enough, fix it up and we can go". they stipulation to see your injuries not your naked body. sorry that you were in such a horrible luck i hope you can recover quickly and fully.

Same thing happen to me when I fell asleep at the wheel in college. I hit a tractor-trailer head-on and scarcely survived. They have to cut your clothes past its sell-by date to search your entire body for injury (because you may not know everywhere you're injured or perhaps you're unconscious or lately can't speak).
Also, they have to cut your clothes off because undressing you the middle-of-the-road way would require moving your back and neck (which could impose spinal injury and possibly even paralysis).
The jewelry is removed to protect it from theft and to protect your fingers in case of swelling.
I know it can be crushing to get bare naked surrounded by front of the doctor, but honestly, you get used to it as you grow older. Most importantly, it's worth it to prevent what could have happen if they didn't take all the precautions.
conceivably they had to resseitate you. they would need your chest exposed for that.

You were within a bad accident and were comatose. They had to remove your clothes to examine you. With a dislocated pelvis, they probably inserted a catheter and couldn't do that with your underwear on. They removed your jewelry for your own protection and gave it to deposit to keep it safe. You were one touched to determine the extent of your injuries. Internal bleeding can be determined in an unconscious person by touch. Their just other alternative was to not treat you and possibly let you die. Which would you have preferred?
They do that so they can check everything including internal bleeding. It is easier then having them remove your clothing all the time.
When an accident is that desperate and you have al ot of injuries, we take off your clothes so we can kind sure there are no huge gashes we cant see, and clothes get within the way of IVs and everything else. as far as the tubes, you were probably given those because of your injuries and seeing as how walking would be very complex, you had a catheter so you dont have to go walking to the bathroom. Your clothes were removed so that they could check you for more injuries that may not hold been apparent when you were fully clothed. It is firm to inspect someone though clothing. Unfortunately in the ED with a trauma case it can be sturdy to make sure a patient stays properly draped. I am sure it was a really frightening and trying experience. The tube in you were probably to give you fluids and medication (IV). They may have placed a catheter into your urethra to control your bladder, as some of the drugs for the pain and to sedate you so you don't move around and hurt yourself can product it hard to control your bladder. They may have checked your rectum for its tone, while invasive and difficult for everyone, it is necessary to check to assist ensure you didn't have a spinal injury. They touched you all over to check for different injuries, that is probably piece of how they diagnosed your pelvis injury. They talked a lot to make sure someone be doing each task necessary to lug care of you, to communicate to someone to record what was going on, and to attain all the instruments and supplies quickly. It can make for a muddled and stressful environment. Plus the medication you were likely on and the situation with your misfortune makes it that much harder to understand and remember what occurred. In the ICU you are given a sheet or a gown, but not much more within case they have to do more procedures to you, and having clothing surrounded by the way could make it hard for them to treat you speedily and safely.
This sounds like a very tough situation you own gone through, with the accident and all the bedlam of the ER and an ICU stay. You may want to find a counselor, therapist, psychologist or psychiatrist to help you with the after-effects of your injuries and the rehabilitation. It take time and help to heal our mind and psyche just close to it does our bodies. I hope that you recover quickly.
They do that so after they can take x rays. Expectualy since you said that there was something wrong near your rib! They also do it so then they can treat you better... And they have to check your body for other injuries! But Idk why they would take sour your underwear and put tubes up their in your holes! I've never herd of that before! But possibly it wasn't a tube like you mentioned that you dislocated your pelvis so maybe they were cameras so they could craft sure that you pelvis didn't punkture any thing!
