Wisdom teeth and anguish meds?
The dentist said i should be taking (perscribed) flubriprofene (probably ****ed up the spelling on that, even though the bottle is in front of me :P) 100mg 6-to-8 hours apart
mom made me take one at 3 yesterday (after getting home) and again at 9 (so barely six hours within between, assuming it actually was three. i feel resembling it was later, but how reliable is tiem sensing when you're still seeing double).
-- i say "made me" because on my own free will i don't resembling medication. and the last time i took advil i puked
About fifteen minutes after the second dose i felt sick to my stomach (not really much to throw up..or yeh probably would) and everything hurt WORSE than before taking it. Long story short i be up past 1am because of it.
I had also gotten a rx for tylonal + codine, supposed to be for a last resort, and there's more side effects. Really don't want to clutch it.
um dude its 11:30 and i'm not hurting too much. is there any reason why i need to nick any of this?
Answers:
Because the medication has ibuprofen in it (Advil) you should be taking it with something surrounded by your stomach. Even if it's crackers, yogurt, jello just something. It is like Vicodin, but has the ibuprofen instead of tylenol surrounded by it. The ibuprofen helps with pain and swelling. Many ethnic group get sick on Advil because they take it on an empty stomach.
It is momentous to stay on top of the pain, which was a appropriate idea the 1st day, but if you are not in much niggle, the Tylenol 3's? should be fine, but again, food before taking it. Alot of people get sick from the codeine.
If plain Tylenol will work, try taking that. Just don't thieve it and Tylenol/codeine together. Too much Tylenol can do damage to the liver.
Make sure you do not suck through a straw or smoke. This can cause a dry socket and is VERY painful. The Dentist should hold told you about it, or it is in your post-op materials.
Good Luck, hope you feel better!
