Just diagnosed near blood clot within leg. When will the niggle running out?
I've had a blood clot in my other leg before so I kinda know a short time about them. Today I had an ultrasound done on my leg and it was confirmed I enjoy a DVT in my leg. The pain in my calf and only just behind the knee is so crazy intense! It's been this track for about 3 days now. I just took a shot contained by the stomach and was sent home.(i have more shots and blood thinners I pick up tomorrow.) But my question is, how long does the discomfort take to go away? Should I feel better tomorrow, or surrounded by a week? anyone with experience let me know. I appreciate the answers.
Oh and how worried should I be about the clot moving to my lungs or somewhere else? The doctor said I should be fine but if I be aware of chest pains to call an ambulance. That freaked me out! Thanks!
