Why can't I go and get quinine for leg cramps anymore?

I have taken quinine for years with no ill effect. Now suddenly it is bleak for me. What's up?
Answers:
Next time you get a leg cramp grap right into it. That will stop it right within it's tracks, cheaper too.
I don't know, but if you buy tonic river that has quinine in it.

Also, when a cramp starts straighten your leg with your heel adjectives the way extended and your toes toward your head. This stops them quickly.

You can also try taking magnesium for a while. Most inhabitants are deficient and magnesium is the mineral that helps muscles relax.

Good luck!
Quinine is such an old drug that it didn't have to "prove itself" to the FDA... it's been used since earlier the FDA came into existence. A drug company recently decided it'd be a upright idea to actually research quinine and prove it works, so it could market it as a brand autograph at a much higher price (the brand name is Qualaquin). SO, this made all non-brand identify quinine illegal. Therefore, it's no longer available except for as Qualaquin, which is an expensive prescription medication. It wasn't removed from the market because it's bad for you. Source(s): I'm a pharmacist
