What prescription sedative should i try?
i frequently get ear infections and sometrimes the pain gets really desperate and my doctors will prescribe painkillers but they make me sick! i've tried Oxycodone, and hydrocodone [commonly called Vicodin] both, though eliminate spasm, make me sick and feeling very miserable, not worth the drought of pain. I've also tried prescription strength ibuprofen and it doesn't make me sick but it only take the edge off the pain. is within some other painkiller i can try that is strong enough to pilfer away the pain?

There are numbing ear drops that you could ask your doctor for... If your ear infection is accessible by drops. Have they ever tried Percocet or Tylenol 3 beside codeine? Those are a little more gentle...although they require a prescription. Gosh, I'm so sorry that you suffer with reoccurring ear infections, i.e. SO miserable. Have you ever visited an ENT Specialist (ear, nose and throat)? Maybe they could get to the heart of why you maintain having these bad ear infections...and they would probably have better concept for pain management. Best wishes! :0)
you may ask your doctor if you can try Tylenol 3, that is Tylenol beside 30mg of Codine. Codine is a opiate based painkiller just similar to the others your Doctor perscribed you. This one is not as strong as the others and may not carry the side effects for you personally. You might ask about non-opiate painkillers as all right, Ultram for instance. Ask your doctor about those and see what they think would be best! Hope you find something that helps the agony but more so that the infections stop. You can try building your immune system with Probiotics. These are live bacteria that are actually required to keep a healthy balance of surrounded by your digestive system and throught your whole immune system, and maby even helping fight the ear infections. See your health care provider as soon as possible. Numerous nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs are on the bazaar. One has not been proved superior to any other, and since a person may respond differently to different medication, it may be necessary to try several. Prescription drugs i this category include:
Butazolidin.
Clinoril.
Dolobid.
Feldene.
Indocin.
Meclomen.
Motrin.
Nalfon.
Naprosyn.
Rufen.
Tolectin.
Voltaren.
In addition, there are several nonprescription forms of ibuprofen, the generic term of Motrin and Rufen. Examples include Advil, Medipren, and Nuprin. I hope this helps you. And good luck.
