Did I verbs a muscle within my knees?
Today at volleyball tryouts I stretched before playing because were all suppose to stretch. When we have to practice on spiking I jumped up and landed then I feel this pain in my knee, I started limping and thought it be no big deal. It got a little worse and I enjoy to kind of struggle when I get up or when im trying to bend or pull fund my knee.
I have Volleyball tryouts again Thursday and Friday and also all of subsequent week. I cant miss a day :(... Was this just a injury that will go away?
Answers:
yeah the injury will go away take ice it after tryouts and give somebody a lift an anti-inflammitory medicine but don't just lie around beside it the body was designed to move and when moving the body is actually in a better health-giving zone then when plain out sitting on your butt but be more careful to stretch and stuff i have see my share of injuries cause i am a football halfback so you know take it easy but don't over do it
I would ice it after practice everyday....also past you practice take advil (one or two).
I did this for years (about 3) before going to the doctor because my knee almost give out..I had developed tendinitis because I over did my sports for so many years.
if i were you I would rime it after practice everyday and take Advil before practice (it's a muscle relaxer). I would also keep doing the tryouts until in that done. If the pain is still there after a month I would go to the doctor.
I wait for 3 years, just thinking it was growing pains.so don't wait long because if you do you could gain tendinitis and it HURTS like HECK!
it probably is just pulled or bruised..hope I helped and honest luck :)
Definitely follow the RICE regimen. Rest Ice Compression (like an ace wrap) Elevation. If agony still persists and you are unable to walk properly I would suggest going to your common doctor and then they can decide if you should see an orthopedic doctor. Take it easy though you don't want to generate it worse. There's a lot of stuff in your knee - bones, ligaments, tendons, muscles so profoundly can go wrong. I am actually telling you this as I am on crutches and own a knee immobilizer after a knee injury a month ago. I was running when my knees gave out. It didn't hurt that much after it happened so I waited and later went to my GP and then an orthopedic. Turns out I dislocated my knee but it go back in when I stood up, it stretched ligaments, fractured my femur by my knee, and bruised my bones.
Good luck. Here's a intermingle about pulled muscles if that's what you think it is.
