My neighbor's kid huffs paint almost on a daily basis. How long can he turn on approaching this?
It has been almost five years that I have lived surrounded by this place. My neighbor's oldest boy, who I believe is about 20 now, openly huffs paint almost each day. He does this in his backyard. There are rows of cans with the tops missing, adjectives goobered up with paint. I see this easily as he doesn't try to hide it, and the balustrade is easy to see through. I try to avoid that side of the yard so I don't have to hear him hack and gag eveyr morning when he does it. He also get crazy and yells random things at their barking dogs, and sometimes directed at me if he see me out in my garden. He is really starting to look bad, it is like looking at the devil himself when I see him hike past our house sometimes. His dad seems like an okay guy, but regretfully he admits to turning a blind eye to it. I wish the kid would just stick beside smoking pot, not huffing paint. He smokes regularly and lounges in their jacuzzi getting really high. I wish he'd stick beside that. It makes him alot more peaceful and I don't have to hear the yell.
How much paint huff poison can the human body take this way? Does anyone know how long a person can live when they do it almost each day?
Thank you.

im sorry and i dont know if i can help. but from the information you own given us i think he might die with a slower and painful passing because smoking gives a slow and painful death and paint is poisonous. Source(s): my dad used to be a painter
Oh that's a really sad story. Misuse of any chemical save for its intended use is illegal. Please do this young man a favor and call the police anonymously. Or report it to social services and agree to them call the cops.
Good luck and so sweet of you to be so caring
Im Not sure how much poison a human body can take but somebody needs to get involved incentive my brother would have been 20 this year but he died last december he be huffing freon which is the stuff that is in the paint cans as powerfully as air conditioner units. I know my brother did this more than once but it lead to his annihilation and unless this guy gets help this is where he head or brain damage thats another possibilty. If you have to maybe christen the police let them know what is going on what you have witnessed. I wish I would enjoy found out sooner what my brother was up to i would have did my best to stop him. I've other learned in school that huffing inhalants, such as paint could organize to cardiac arrest without warning, so I would really at least put on alert his father that his son's behavior is extremely dangerous and could potentially kill him. His father should really be aware that the risks being taken are really immensely high and that his son's life is on the line.
Here's some shocked statistics:
Suffocation, inhaling fluid or vomit into the lungs, and accident each cause about 15% of death linked to inhalant abuse.
55% of deaths associated to inhalant abuse are caused by “Sudden Sniffing Death Syndrome.” SSDS can occur on the first use or any use
22% of inhalant abusers who died of SSDS have no history of previous inhalant abuse. In other words, they were first-time users Source(s): http://www.gdcada.org/statistics/inhalants.htm
