I hold actually had the same problem frequent times before, if you go to the doctor they will most likely flush your ears out. It is more mortified than painful. But if you are living with your parents still or have a sibling, close friend, or girlfriend around lol that you are comfortable beside. But you can buy this from any store really, kmart, walmart, rite aid, places like that. You get peroxide, and the ear thing.. I don't know what it's call.. I just know it's blue and they use it on babies when they are born to get the fluid out of their mouths. But you can also use a seringe. Anyways you fill up a cup beside Peroxide and warm water, a little more peroxide after water. Then you fill up the seringe and have someone squirt it into your ear beside enough pressure to loosen op the wax, it's usually easier to have the doctor/nurse do it. And buy some Debrox.
I tried to explain all this the best I could. I hope this help Source(s): A lot of experience.
You don't need to see a doctor unless there's some unusual color or odor, or if it's painful for you. As you get elder, it's normal to produce more wax. You'll also produce more if you have allergies or if you're exposed to something that could cause an infection. Wax is a protective substance that is to say designed to help keep things out of your ears that don't belong there.
When cleaning your ears, bring in sure you're only cleaning the outside of your ears, and not going deep into your ear. Q-tips can leave trailing bits of cotton, that will build up over time in your ears. With enough of a build up, it could cause some extraordinary drainage.
You can buy a kit at the drugstore to help wash out your ears...unsophisticatedly, it's some drops to soften the wax and a syringe to squirt warm water into your ears. It works pretty powerfully, but you may need a second person to help you next to it, since it's kind of hard to do by yourself.
Good luck! Source(s): 20 yrs in nursing
The doctor can tell you if you have an unexpected amount of ear wax. He can also clean it out (Flush it out). Just don't stick anything in your ears. They are very sheer instruments.
