Is milk appropriate for sour throat's?

i have a bad cough
Answers:
Anything ice cold will make your sore throat feel better, because it help with the swelling. One reason kids get rime cream when they have their tonsils out.

When you gargle with salt, use rime water. That will make your throat feel better and coat it. Milk will coat your throat as ably, but some people don't like it because it causes mucus and coughing. Non-fat milk is best.

Warm/hot beverages seem to be to increase soreness or swelling, but if you follow soups or warm drinks with an icy gargle, it will help. Keeping rime water by the bed to sip helps too, to soothe your throat and keep you hydrated. I put for a while non-sugar sweetener or lemon in mine.

Asper-gum also makes your throat feel better, because it puts the aspirin directly on the sore throat and keep it from getting stiff, by encouraging you to swallow.
No I do not presume that milk is good for your sour throat. If you feel your throat inflamed it is good to gargle wet with salt. Just take a chalice of drinking water, add teaspoon full of salt and start drinking it short swallowing it. While it is in your mouth put your head backwards so the water would be at your throat and gargle for some time. Spill it sour and repeat until you finish the glass. Another good thing is to overrun a glass with warm dampen, squeeze a quarter of a lemon (depending its size) into it and add two teaspoons of honey. That will surely help the throat and the cough. Take this especially before going to bed but you can enjoy it also during the day. When I have a sore throat I also take
" ISLA MOOS ". These be prescribed to me by my doctor but afterwards I buy it over the counter. These are lozenges which are made of honey and herbs. You keep the lozenges to melt contained by your mouth. They could be taken one or two several times a day. I find them very good and rushed releiving.
Good luck and bless. Source(s): Personal experience
It is! As long as it's be in a nice cold fridge for a while with the setting on at least 6 or you can simply add some ice. Better yet, appropriate some icy hot or vapor rub and apply it right below your neck. That should help. I always put together some hot tea. It helps me a lot! XD Source(s): myself
Yes if it is very cold. There is a myth that it produces phlegm or mucus. The high fat content that make it feel like you have extra phlegm. But really any cold juice is fine. So drink up whatever you can and drink it very cold. Source(s): My own experience

no luv it isn't ... milk and dairy products are mucous producing so will only serve to nurture the inflammation ..... freshly squeezed orange juice is good for a sore throat .... not that package sheet... the fresh stuff .. chemical and preservative free .. and rich in vitamin C ..... vitamin C is a very powerfull natural antibiotic, antiviral, antibacterial ..... as is olive fern extract .... take 20ml of olive leaf extract 3 times a day till the inflammation subsides..... that will dramatically decrease your symptoms ..... go to your local health food store and get the unflavored choice .... you don't need the sugar in the flavored version (counter productive as sugar feed bacteria) ..... drink lots of fresh green vegie juice too like celery and broccolli juice ... also rich surrounded by vitamin C and living enzymes that every single cell in your system needs to function smoothly ... sounds disgusting i know..... but it's yummy if you juice it near one pear or a fresh lemon ... i luv fresh celery and lemon juice .... lucky me escaped getting a cold yet again this season..... try it mate.... you'll feel so much better.

gargle with salt in river will dramatically reduce your symptoms too..... celtic sea salt rich surrounded by minerals and a powerfull natural antibiotic.... not the table salt chemically processed variety i.e. nutrient void and has no therapeutic pro.. sea salt from the health food store.. put one tablespoon full into a mug of cold marine and gargle with it every 2 hours ... ;0)

No, it'll make it worse ): It produces flem because it's so thick and 'lines' your throat. I rob Lemon and Honey when I have a sore throat or a bad cough - Lemon (freshly squeezed!) cuts through the flem and the honey soothes. I wouldn't suggest milk at all, though.
The problem with milk and a cold....is that milk produces flem and this can put together your cough worse.

I'd suggest against milk and drink more juice like orange liquid, grapefruit which has vitamin C.....what can help to fight a cough/cold.

Also, for sore throats....some honey and lime liquid. Gargle with it.
as long as it is warm and not cold....why nation keep suggesting chilled things for a bad cough....and did someone said add rime to it....great. ah...i guess you should ask your doctor, cough is not a nice thing to have. Source(s): get all right soon
