What cause paw numbness?
my Mom is feeling numbness on her left hand on the top what do you guess would cause that? it's starting to scare me she is 55 and pretty healthy should we receive in touch with a doctor? this has be going on for about two days what do we do?

just like the other answers you are getting, it sounds like carpal tunnel to me also. I own the same feeling at times when I hold my hand within a certain position for any length of time. My hand goes numb also. yep, it sounds resembling carpal tunnel syndrome to me. have her bend her hand back a few times while holding it to release a bit of pressure on her wrist. a doctor I saw awhile backbone told me to do that to help a bit, but I'd have it checked out anyway to be sure. something else that was told to me roughly speaking carpal tunnel. it is like a pinched garden hose with the water running. no fluid can come through while it is pinched. to release it help. I used a special brace which you can get at a walgreens or even walmart which is a bit cheaper. it holds the hand at a bit of an upcocked position to release the pressure on the nerve within the wrist. well those are some things that have helped me but enjoy it checked out anyway. I believe I've said that a few times though. hope any of this helps her out. oh by the way I'm 56.
