Can you identify my spider bite?

I first noticed it this morning when I was getting dressed. At the time it was merely a sore spot on my knee. I ignored it and didn't look very close, assuming I have just bruised myself or something. It's about noon very soon, and sore to the touch. I noticed two bite mark looking spots that are about a partially centimeter apart, and the area around it (a little bigger then a half dollar piece) is red. I assumed it be spider bite and I'm wondering if I should take it to the doctor. Advice?
Answers:
This is more likely a skin condition than a spider/insect bite.
No cause for alarm, this is possibly cellulitis or a staph infection.
Just hang on to it clean and apply a topical antibiotic.
This may take several days to heal, but you should be fine.
If this persist more than 3 days, or worsens significantly,
you should have a doctor examine it.
ps: avoid scratching or squeezing. any pustule will drain on its own. Source(s): UC Irvine, entomology
