My doctor prescribed one Hydroco/apap5-500...?
I went to the E.R yesterday, for my jaw pains, The doctor prescribed me Hydroco/Apa 5-500 MG Tab mallinckro. To take ONE tablet by mouth every 6 hours, I took one tab, 3 hours ago, and im still surrounded by severe pain.. Now what should I do? Its now, 5am, and I havent slept because Of it, Im so tired, and I just want to sleep, but the agony hurts to much.

Take another one. It is okay to do that. You are allowed 5 pills a day even though the prescription say different.
If this is because of the tmj stuff I can minister to you get rid of it rather than just living next to pain and something to cover it up. Do this and you should be painfree in less than two minutes. Place your thumbs right down your ears on top of the jawbone and under the skull. Press into that area near a good pressure and hold. It is going to be very sore but put as much pressure as you can on it. After 30 seconds slowly elevate your head as far as you can and then open your mouth adjectives the way also. Release the pressure but hold your head there for one minute. Your agony should be gone If not try it again with more pressure all you are doing is loosening your muscles.
take another pill. You are taking Vicadin. One more should be plenty to kill the pain. Hope you feel better.
The normal dose (depends on age) is 1-2 so I think its safe to help yourself to one more now
Hydrocodone/APAP 5-500mg is safe to be taken 1-2 tabs every 4-6 hours - not to exceed a total of 4 grams of APAP (or Tylenol) per 24 hour period to prevent liver overexploit. In the USA it is known a "Vicodin", but it made generically by many different manufacturers. It is a relatively mild narcotic analgesic.
