Wow!! Congratulations on taking the first step in quitting a very addictive habit!! The first entity that I'm going to tell you is that quitting can be a very difficult process, but don't give up! It can run several times before you successfully quit for good. I wouldn't start with nicotine gum/patches, because they're severely expensive and it could become costly should you need to be on them for a long period of time. Depending on how long you've been smoking, you could try merely quitting "cold turkey", which means that you just simply stop smoking. When you do this, make sure that you enjoy sugar free hard candy and gum to use when you get a craving for a cigarette. If it doesn't work for you, your family doctor/school nurse can give support to you to quit smoking. There's also a great website, www.smokefree.com, that can give you advice and tips on how to successfully quit. I wish you the best!! *RdB* Source(s): http://www.smokefree.com

Good! put off this discouraging habit ....and also the company of those who would make u smoke ...on the name of...aren't you my friend ? ,,, or ... one for my strength... or one for my wish... **** them all ..if u seriouly want to quit smoking !
u have to divert ur mind from the need of smoking and ... if u feel it have...some chewing gums ..etc and put it on ur mouth ... Source(s): good choice
I recommend cutting down gradually until your quit date. I did this. I cut down to partly a pack. I did this for three months. I smoked by the puff, not by the cigarette. I took only the amount of nicotine that was necessary to delight my urge to smoke and put the rest of the cigarette out.
After doing this for three months I quit cold turkey.
Now I'm eating more candy to distract me but its been 4 months. I have urges but they don't later more than a second or two. If they're lasting more than that then you're concentrating on the cigarette. Don't do it. Concentrate on something else.
I've hear very positive things from people I know about Allen Carr's Easy Way to Stop Smoking - try that! Source(s): www.allencarr.com
Stuff near vitamin C, make sure you're getting adequate vitamins and minerals, increase water intake, sugarfree gum especially when getting a craving, tea, exercise close to going for walks, go to quit smoking support groups, keep your hand busy with art and writing, sing, etc. avoid smoke. Great that you want to quit and took the initiative to :)
