Health Insurance for Newborn Baby?
I get health insurance through my employment but I think I can get a better quote than what they contribute if I go about it independently. What suggestions do you adjectives have in lingo of a good health insurance coverage? Is it best to own a higher deductible and lower premium or vice versa for a newborn? I want what will be the best for him but the most affordable for us. Thanks! :)

If you haven't had your child yet you should consider the group option to err on the side of care. Laws vary by state, but in NC an insurance company is required to cover a newborn if the parent currently have a policy and adds the newborn within the first 30 days after birth. This will protect you if your babe-in-arms has any birth defects (I know you don't want to presume about that). If your baby is already born, individual robustness insurance policies tend to be less expensive than group policies because they are underwriten based on the applicants form whereas group policies must accept everyone.
Deciding how rich your benefits are is a personal preference. Generally, the superior the premium, the more predictable your day to day expenses are because you hold higher benefits. The lower your premium the more exposed you are to a large claim.
For babies, cause sure your policy covers well baby visit and immunizations as you will have alot of these contained by the beginning. Also, if you are a first time parent, make sure in that is no limit on the number of office visit. Also make sure ER visits and urgent supervision have copays because you may be making some late hours of darkness frantic visits to make sure your little loved one is ok.
Congratulations.
