I am taking Levoxyl for thyroid nodules and have been have heart palpitations daily. My dr. didn't seem too concerned and only said "we'll keep an eye on it." Is this normal? I don't want my heart to suddenly stop because of this!

How can I stop this crazy sleep paralysis?

Different thyroid meds take action differently to different people. Perhaps you might do better on Synthroid, Unithroid or Armour.

Sometimes things like heart palps will surface when you first start thyroid meds because it is speeding up the metabolism. In 4-6 weeks this side effect should resolve itself. If not, perhaps a different thyroid medication. If it gets too severe, lately ask the doctor if you can take 1/2 a pill a day until your body get used to it, then sowly move up to a whole pill.
