Answers:    I don't think I would be cleaning it with hydrogen peroxide, but rather soap and sea. Hydrogen peroxide is no longer used in health care services because it is not selective and debrides healthy tissue. Suspect the hydrogen peroxide is not allowing it to heal.

This just happen yesterday, so suspect it will look better by tomorrow as the antibiotics begin to start circulating. Do just keep it verbs with soap and water. And don't be afraid to soak it in hot hose to help draw out infection and soften tissues so they can heal. Source(s): RN

A cat gash if it becomes infected is very serious. I know you are on antibiotics but please go backbone to your doctor and get it checked out. Often such wounds aren't stitched to avoid infection building up.
