High Blood Pressure Runs In My Family, How Can I Avoid This?
Almost everyone on my mother's side has high blood pressure. Ages (diagnosed) range from 18 (special case. Severely overweight) and up. Aunt, uncles, mom, grandma, cousin. My aunt is on dialysis after years of stupidly not taking her medication for reasons she can't even claim. And my grandmother was on it for about 5 years until she died.
Just just now, this week in fact, my mom at 52 be diagnosed with high cholesterol.
What can I do to avoid this? I'm 16 and an African American if that matter. I tried and succeed a couple of years to get my mom to stop cooking with shortening and step to vegetable oil. And I was almost successful surrounded by getting her to try Olive Oil before the prices of gas and everything else soared. Money's tight, so pricey organic food is not credible to happen.
I don't/can't cook. After an accident when I destroyed a small pot, I am forbidden to cook anything save for things like instant noodles. (I know, right).
I eat as glowing as most kids my age do. I eat tons of fruit when we have them on paw. -Not lately since our frig was broken and everything was any thrown away or frozen. I eat lots of salad with fresh spiniach and not much Italian dressing.
I must agree, I do love french fries, but I'm limiting myself to have a somewhat healthy diet. I guess I could exercise more...but lately, the weather's be either too hot or raining to no end, so it boundaries my ability to go out and pace or ride a bike.--I do exercise at school, you should see the stairs I walk up and down and up and down on a day after day base. By the end of the morning, I've done 20+ flights.
Anyway, I'm just rambling very soon, but are there any vitamins or anything I could take to spare me the dialysis apparatus at 40 something?
Answer: As always. The best medicine is diet and exercise. Ive other read and hear that African Americans have a higher risk. Just purloin care of yourself, don't over do it on junk food and other exercise, even if your not over-weight. Exercise is very important, in a minute when your 40 and always. Good Luck.
P.S. By the way. Don't verbs yourself about it anymore, or you will stress yourself out and then you will run out up with it. Stress is also a contributing factor. .
There isn't much to be done except to monitor the situation and to take appropriate medication if necessary. These can be quite significant. I am an 36 year old African-American woman. I was diagnosed next to high blood pressure at age 33. Both of my parents have lofty blood pressure. I don't have high blood pressure anymore. I enjoy been drinking Tahitian NONI juice for 2 months presently and my pressure has fallen underneath normal now. I don't give somebody a lift my meds anymore. You and your mom can also drink Tahitian NONI Juice. It also balances your blood sugar, lowers cholesterol to normal level, strengthen the immune system, gives tremendous amounts of energy so you can exercise surrounded by the house under air condition or fan.
