Hot pod of hose down or rime purse?
I pulled a muscle 2 weeks ago and recently like 4 days ago I took Backaid and it help a lot. However, I want it to heal completely and I don't want to maintain taking Backaid as it says not to take it for more than 10 days, even though I lone took it for 2 or 3 days. My question is, to speed up the healing process, should I put a hot or cold sack on the area?
Answer: When I was within college, I remember my physical therapy professor saying: "Heat is frequently used when it shouldn't be. Ice is almost never the wrong entity to use." That means people use boil many times when they should've used ice.
Heat loosens up your blood vessel and brings more blood to the area. So it is good for things such as muscle spasms that requirement the extra blood flow to help "wash them away" so to speak. Ice constricts your blood vessel and lessens the blood flow to the area so you can see why your dr tell you to put ice on a swollen ankle.
I've also found very righteous results with alternating the two. Put an ice pack on the nouns for 15 minutes. An hour or two later, put a heating wad on it for 15-20 minutes. This doesn't help everyone, but a lot of my patients own said they've seen better results by doing both. Good luck!

cold bag is for swellings such as a bruise. A hot pouch is for relaxation of the muscles. So for sprains you want a hot bag.Sleeping next to my eyes clear?
typically ice is used for the instant, post-injury treatment. after about 24 hours, heat is better..unless youve reinjured it routinely since the initial incident. later id go next to ice.
