How can I keep hold of my wound verbs?
A week ago I got hurt and got a pretty gaping and wide cut a little above my right eyebrow and have to go get stitches. Yesterday I get the stitches removed and they told me to try and keep the wound clean since it didn't close adjectives the way. But this morning I woke up and it started to sting and it was for a time crusty. What is the best thing to put on it or what is the best way to maintain it clean with out it hurting much?
Answer: Both answers have some good advice- to clean it, use saline on gauze, consequently put some antibiotic ointment on it to keep it verbs, sealed and protected. Do this twice a day. Take rotten the old cream by gently wipe with a warm saline gauze, consequently once that's cleaned off, clean next to saline, dry and re-apply cream. Neosporin, bacitracin, polysporin are all good antibiotic creams
Alcohol will hurt close to the dickens and it kills tissue, so don't wash it out near that. Antiseptic wipes and peroxide will also be a bit strong, unless you develop an infection. The less you de-scab it, the better bad you are, especially in terms of a perfect cosmetic result..
Do you know what hydrogen peroxide is? Do you have any? Dip a Q-tip or cottonball in some and swab it over the cut. It'll kind a sizzling sound, and it might sting a little, but that resources it's working. That should keep it clean. Also find a band-aid where on earth the cloth part fits entirely over the cut and put that over it too. Or use some gauze and that special tape stuff. hydrogen peroxide (h202) is the best i've found. it's a powerful antiseptic and its cold and it bubbles out adjectives the impurities from the wound. it's the most painless it gets. but i'd recommend lying down and have someone use an eyedropper to put it on and letting it sit for a few minutes..
You could try wiping it down with alcohol several times a daytime until the scabs fall off. Use a verbs cotton ball or tissue to do this. Put a bandaid over the cut to keep dust and contaminants out. Get some guaze and soak it it saline, and hold it against the wound. It will be sterile, and wont hurt..
If you simply pour some hydrogen peroxide on it, it should be clean. neosporen. .
