How can I fall down alseep faster?
Lately it's been taking me a long time to fall asleep. Like 1-2 hours. I can't update you how annoying this is because I have to get up to shift to work at 6am. I practically have to go to bed at 8pm to manufacture sure I get eight hours.
I've done everything I could think of, I don't drink coffee or soda, guzzle dinner at regular times around 6, take a shower and relax for a half hour beforehand going to bed.
I've tried reading, watching TV, music lighting insense but nothing seems to work!
Whats worse is sometimes I don't drip alseep at all. I roll around for 8 hours with my eyes clothes but lately don't fall sleep.
Any ideas?

Well, it looks close to you've got a good start. There are a couple of other things worth giving a be in motion however. Getting sleep patterns right takes time, and is a combination of "teaching/tricking" your body AND your mind.- Make sure you don't rest during the day or evening.
- Go to bed at the same time every afternoon. Realistically, to get up at 6am, go to bed at 9pm (that give you 9 hours, the prime amount of sleep for most people). Avoid going earlier or later.
- Lower the lighting for something like an hour before you go to bed (so your body think the sun is setting).
- Set up a bed-time ritual, starting with the shower: then renovation into your nightclothes/dressing gown, have a cup of chamomile or warm milk, brush your teeth, (any other bits & pieces), consequently hop into bed. Do the same every night.
- Use your bedroom for sex and sleep one and only: no reading, TV, planning the day to come.
- if you're not starting to drift off after 30 minutes, receive up for 5-10 minutes, and then go rear legs to bed and try again. Don't let your body associate "being contained by bed" with "tossing and turning".
Sometimes people do hold times when getting to sleep is difficult. Don't worry about it too much: your body will gain back to good sleeping behaviour, as long as you are encouraging it to (by doing what you already are, and giving the above a go).
Remember also that, although you might not be sleeping solidly, you are still getting physical rest, and chances are you are getting moments of sleep. So no need to falsehood there worrying about it, cos you are still getting benefits from one in bed!
p.s. there is a chemical released contained by milk when warmed that does make ethnic group drowsy. It's not just an 'old wives tale'.
try not to think in the order of not falling asleep. If you lay in bed thinking "go to sleep, move about to sleep" it'll just keep you awake. Most of the time when I hold forcing myself or worrying about not getting enough sleep, it keep me up all night. If i purely dont think at all...and lately lay there and not move...i'll fall asleep contained by no time.
And if you're Christian...it helps to pray before you sleep.

dont try to think that you should sleep, let your body do that, not your mind... you are putting pressure on yourself and specifically why youre having a hard time as powerfully...
relax, unwind... go to the beach... be near your special someone...
to me it seems like u enjoy alot of stress going on.
u should take a break from everything that is stressing
you out and see if that help.
if not maybe going to a doctor to see if they can supply you
any sleeping medicine.

I write down everything important I own on my mind. Like things I have to do tomorrow, important planning, etc. That usually helps me fall asleep faster.

meditate, I own the same problem. What I do is picture myself on a beautiful seaside and I'm listening to the waves clean up and down the sea shore and a couple random seagulls.. Knocks me out resembling a baby! DRUGS ARE NOT THE ANSWER!Whats the cost for an MRI if you dont own insurance?

There aren't any set methods (other than drugs) that can make anyone sleep easier, it's all in the order of finding what's best for you. Maybe you need to reconsider the type of music you listen to, I know that when I enjoy trouble sleeping soothing stuff like Kenny G just don't appear to work for me, try putting on a song that you know really well, set it to repeat (with the volume down low so you can just hear it) and mouth the words to the song next to your eyes closed. See if that works, also because you know that you need to get up really hasty in the morning, you probably stress about what time it is and how several hours sleep you are going to get, the worst thing to do when you can't sleep is to look at a clock so if you enjoy an alarm clock by your bed turn it around so that you can't see the numbers.
Hope this helps, but if all else fail (maybe after a month) it might be time to pay a visit to your doctor and discuss sleeping pills (but lone as a last resort *please*).

-put a notepad/pen next to your bed and scrap down things your trying to remember for tomorrow or something that is on your mind. or try writing a journal. catch it all out so you don't toss and turn thinking all darkness.-taking a hot bath helps right in the past bed. maybe with some herb and scent(lavender is proven to help or something)
-dimming the light an hour formerly sleep helps your body bridge into sleep. also, you should know that television and the computer blind aren't good an hour or two before sleep because your eyes are still stimulated from that flimsy so refrain from technology.
-try not striking up conversation right before bed beside a friend or boyfriend because interaction will keep you stimulated.
-if you can, stop working out 3-4 hours before going to sleep. i've read contained by an article that your body is still active or something so it's hard for it to rest.
