First morning on Crutches?

My wife broke her ankle stepping surrounded by an open water meter. The neighbor brought over a double act of crutches for her to use to go to the doctor. As she started down the front steps with crutches I stood within front of her fearing she would fall down the steps. However she lost match and fell backwards the crutch getting caught in the railing breaking her wrist. She was crying in a minute so I picked her up and carried her to the ER. We explained what happened and they nearly had the police arrest me for hiding her!
