How do I know if my shin bone is broken?

I smashed my shin with an 8 lb sledge hammer. The skin immediatly swole and blistered and it hurt resembling crazy to stand on it. However, I was limping back to work in a few minuites. the swelling went down after a few days. It is now be three weeks and I can walk around fine but the slightest touch will drop me. I assume it is not broken because I can walk on it, but, I am more concerned just about long term dammage. does anyone have any suggestions?

Pulled a nouns muscle?

although ur tibia(the big bone that make up ur shin) make not be broken. ur fibula(the tiny bone next to the tibia) may be broken... u could still pace around with a small break in ur fibula... since it is not responsible for massive mass bearing...

since it still hurts badly to touch it i would move about and get an xray(should have when it happened) and if it is broken next they may have to rebreak it inorder to set it correctly and not cause permanate disfavour

go get an xray... lately to be sure...

it may just be a bad bone bruise... but u wanna be out of danger

How can i stop muscle spasms?

go get it xrayed
