How nearly Anesthesiologists?
I was just curious as to how much do anesthesiologists work and how much money they receive? Last time I asked this question a guy said a million a year...but I severely doubt it so only serious answers...also dont they own to pay alot for insurance?
Answer: I thnk the average is about 200-300K/year. Depends on the practice location and type of practive. Hours can be pretty okay. For elective surgery centers the hours are usually early morning 6-7 am to 2-3 pm. Most are only on-call for emergency if they choose to be.
If you are specialized within the field i.e. pediatrics, cardiac etc.. you could generate significantly more. Some go intoother areas like cramp management and have regular department hours.
As for many physicians you can find jobs that will income more money but you are usually sacrificing lifestyle or work conditions.
Insurance is usually paid by your employer.
Word of direction. Don't let the salary be your primary motivator for a trade. Do what makes you happy first afterwards worry about the earnings. There are a lot of unhappy prosperous physicians that made the wrong choice..
Salary surveys show that most anesthesiologist in the US make somewhere contained by the $185,000 to $290,000 range. The actual US national average income after expenses is $241,427 according to the surveys.
As the second responder mentioned, anesthesiologist work in oodles different types of practices, which can affect the number of hours they work and their income. Some work directly for the hospital, though most work in a private or group practice. Some specialize in consistent types of patients. Most take some level of appointment, though, in most cases, this is set up on a rotating basis, and is recurrently even as a backup call for a nurse anesthetist. The hours are better than for many of the medical specialties.
Those anesthesiologist who hold pain management practices, usually also get something done anesthesia in the operating room on certain days and are not exclusively within an office situation. In addition they unanimously have many long-suffering who need procedures performed contained by addition to the office hours.
In some cases the light of day will start at aroun 6 am, pain procedures are performed until 7:30, consequently one or two operaticve cases are provided anesthesia prior to going to the office to see the pain headship patients until 5 or 6 pm then on one or 2 days a week additional cramp procedures are performed until 8 or 9 pm. Also patients are commonly seen contained by emergency situations on weekends in a pain control practice..
The mean annual income for an Anesthesiologist in the United States is $192,780.
As for their hours... Long. There isn't any ducking out impulsive on a surgery if it goes long. Expect long days and "on call" often.
