Reason why I'm asking is because you see people die this way in movies and it seem to happen so fast. Do you really die this fast (within minutes) or could it give somebody a lift hours for enough blood to pump out of your body before you die?

The vein and arteries in the wrist are relatively small, so I think it would take at lowest possible a little while.

haha apparently not fast satisfactory, since these emo kids walk around with scars on their wrists from slicing...i instinctively havent tried, but im sure if you slice your vein vertically then the blood would come out faster, meaning you would die within like, minutes, from...duh...blood loss. if nobody is around to help you, and like, totally * up your suicide. hours no. minutes is usually around right.
i just wish these kids would slice harder or something...see em walking around alll proud with their scar.well. no thumbs down plz, im not hating or anything. emos just suck.

honestly it depends on how you slice them. Now if this is something your thinking almost I'd greatly advise aginst it. It's not normally a quick process to go. And life is too precious to even think going on for this!
