It varies depending on how well you steal care of the piercing. It only took roughly a week for my pain to go away, but i have friends who were having pains for months afterwards b/c they be not taking good care of it. As for actual salutary, I think it depends on the person, beneficial takes different amounts of times for different people. Once again I suppose it depends on how well it is taken care of.
