How to live longer...
My grandfather is 97, and I am thinking, is he living this long because he was around for a large interval when there werent as many pesticides, preservatives and more inbred foods. Today we have processed foods and hormone pumped meats etc, so will this overall effect my long occupancy living. Will I (becuase im exposed to fried foods which I eat possible onces every month of so) die at an earlier age and how can I maximise how long I live for?

Answer: no, you will not live shorter because of that.
You may live shorter because you don't get as much exercise, spend all your time indoors watching tele instead of hiking around the countryside.
Maybe if you ate a McD breakfast time every day that'd be bad for you, but once a month is no problem at adjectives.
Your grandfather is getting old because he is genetically inclined to do so, lucky to not contract any bad diseases, and lucky to never carry into a serious accident.
Him not living his entire life surrounded by an anti-septic home which is cleaned with aggressive detergents to get rid of every source of infection several times a week also help, as his immune system is a lot stronger than that of most younger people as a result.
If you live shorter, that'll be the most predictable cause. Your immune system (and that of most people surrounded by the western world and parts of Asia) has been effectively dismantled by the fixation (to the point of hysteria) of our societies on antiseptic soaps and stuff.
As it is, we're very soon so vulnerable that diseases that would have be a mild inconvenience to our ancestors can kill us..
hmm.. total abstinence from unwanted items foods.. trying to avoid fried foods (as you've said) is important too.
drink more water, try to sleep around 8 hours a afternoon, exercise regularly, get med. checkups, don't be stressful, don't get angry too much, pray.

My great grandfather be a real salt of the floor Irishman. Hard drinking, chain smoking dude. He lived to 98. Never quit drinking or smoking either.
