How to look after my injury?

I've just dropped a heavy poker box on the shared between my foot and my big toe. It's deeply bruised and i can move my toe but it keeps throbbing next to pain and is swollen yet sometimes numb.

Any comfort would be muchly appreciated. Thanks in advance :)

Answer:    RICE method
Rest
Ice
Compression
Elevation

rest the foot as much as you can, Ice for 30 min later off for 1 hr. Compression with an ACE plaster and elevation when you are off it..
Ice should help the bruising step down and the swelling... not direct ice... Use an rime pack, or put ice in a roomy and rap the baggy with a washcloth. Oh and if it's broke, plaster it up with a wrap and try your best not to move it a whole lot... I broke a toe earlier, so did my mom and my mother in law. I cultured from my mother in law that it be a waste of time and money to go to the doctor for a broken toe because adjectives they will do is bandage it up because it will fix itself. My toe healed fine and so did my moms and we didn't see a doctor. If you can move it later it is most likely not broken. I would take some Tylenol or Advil for strain, put a cold compress on it to help the swelling and keep it elevated as economically. I would give it 24 hours, and if you are still in agony, then go to see a Doctor. Unfortunately, if it is a broken toe, consequently there is really nothing that can be done. Good Luck..
If you can't move you big toe its probablly broken! I hope it feel better! I am a blackbelt in Tae Kwon Do and over the past 10 years I own had many broken toes. What you should do is win some medical tape and tape you broken toe to the one subsequent to it. Its going to really hurt for a week or so and it will be really uncomfotable when you walk. I also recommend wearing open toed shoes. Hey look on the bright side it is summer :) its probably not broken if you can move it around. find some ice on it right away and keep the foot elevated for at tiniest an hour or two. try to stay off it as much as possible for the next few days and don't wear any tight shoes. if the swelling doesn't stir down or if it looks any worse in a few days, don't hesitate to move about see a doctor. its worth it if you don't want your foot permantly damaged. but right now, only watch it and be careful!.
You inevitability to ice it so that you can bring down the swelling first. Once the swelling comes down, you should use some icy hot to produce some heat on it and wrap it. The fry will help you be able to move it better. :) If it is attitude numb sometimes, the circulation may be affected so please go and see your doctor to procure it checked out. .
Ice for 20 minutes and keep it elevated. You can also wrap it. you need a considerable big toe plaster cast...hehehe just kid..keep weight of it for two weeks and monitor the circulation and color.
Eat lots and lots of McDonalds and it will be heal when you finish the last french fry. You look like you stipulation to treat that. Go see a doctor. Then pray you get well soon..
since going to the doctor elevate it in spare times and keep icing it

hopes it get well.
Packet of frozen peas, doubt it's broken put some ice on it. and transport some medicine..
ice it greatly !

that will help do it at least 3 times a daytime for 30 minutes each time .
put an ice pack on it (frozen peas will do)
tilt it up on a cushion and keep off it Go see a doctor..
Try soaking contained by ice cold water any get off your foot or put ice it actually help.
