hydrocortone is not a analgesic. it is a steroid - used to treat inflammation adn allergic conditions. if a doc prescribed it thats fine, but be careful. maybe u shud be taking something else.it should work pretty hasty. just take it as prescribed so your torment doesnt get out of control.

You own your basic answer.not long. I did think it be closer to 20-30 minutes but am probably wrong. Don't give up on it and take more if it hasn't kicked within in 10 minutes though. Is this for a child?When my baby (he's not a toddler anymore) had surgery they gave me the hydrocodone elixer to use for the first couple of days at home.
