I am 16 years old how long will it take me to recover from gettig my tonsils removed?

Answer:    2 weeks tops but eat a lot of lce cream.
I was 16 when I got mine taken out, and it took me about two weeks to recover from them. Though, my brother, who was 14 at the time, also got his out the same day as me and it only took him a few days to get over it. Mine was a bit different, as they also went in and burned out my adenoids. So if you're just getting your tonsils out, I'd say it'll only take 3-5 days. 10-14 days...depending on how fast your body can heal...everyone is different...and make sure u rinse everytime u eat something...other wise the left over food could end up getting stuck where they did surgery and your gums will heal over that and the food will rot and u will have to get it cut open again...not a fun thing.
The average recovery time for tonsillectomy is 10-20 days.

If your discomfort continues after this time, consult your doctor;
this is a very common procedure, nothing at all to be concerned about..
Not long. No longer than 7-10 days, but you will be up and around almost normal on the second day, just a sore throat. About a week. The scabs in your throat come out. That's why. Make sure to eat lots of ice cream too! :P.
I knew someone who was fifteen when she had them out and a week later she was eating food just fine. It took my little sister a couple of days. But it can vary. Good luck and my wishes towards a speedy recovery! :)
.
I'd guess a week if you follow the doc's instructions. Eat lots of Ben & Jerry's 3 to 4 days not to longer but eat alot of ice cream!!.
